Like theHydraFacial facial, the Keravive protocol is performed in three steps.

1. Cleanse + Exfoliate

With a filler, a cosmetic doctor injects crosslinked hyaluronic acid locally into the wrinkles causing them to fill. This stays in place for months and is slowly broken down by the body. However, nothing happens to the skin surrounding the wrinkle. With the SkinPen we treat the entire skin, however, nothing is injected but we stimulate the natural functions of the skin. For this you need some patience because this process can take several weeks to a year. Our experience is that the combination of a filler and SkinPen treatment is very beautiful if you have wrinkles but they should not be undergone at the same time.

2. Hydrate + Nourish

3. Follow-up + Optimization.

After laser treatment, the result is not immediately visible. Usually a red papule develops around the hair follicle after a few minutes, indicating that a lot of heat has been developed. The hairs are loose in the hair follicles and can easily be pulled out with tweezers.

After two to three weeks when the epidermis is renewed, the hairs will fall out on their own. During this period, the hairs appear to be still growing, but in reality they are pushed upward by the epidermis.

Intake interview and advice.

During your first visit to Med Clinic in Antwerp Wilrijk, an extensive intake interview is held, possibly together with a skin scan. This scan shows the deeper skin layers so that we can give more specific advice and offer better solutions. After the skin scan, a treatment plan is drawn up, the necessary home care given and a possible follow-up appointment scheduled.
