Fine blond vellus carries little pigment and responds poorly to the diode laser. Dark terminal hair — on hormonal or Mediterranean background — responds well. When in doubt, a test pass on one cheek shows yield before booking a full course.
A common fear: laser leaves ‘stubble’ like shaving. False — hairs fall out progressively in the days after the session and grow back finer; under full reduction they vanish permanently. We do not treat vellus on permanent-make-up zones or right after a chemical peel.
